Kiln Elements

Coiled replacement elements for pottery, ceramic, and glass kilns — sized to your model.

When a kiln fires slowly, stops reaching temperature, or shows dull patches in the coil, the elements are usually worn out. We wind replacement kiln elements to match your model's chamber size, voltage, wattage, and firing temperature — for pottery, ceramic, and glass kilns — and ship anywhere in Canada, including custom-wound elements for older or discontinued kilns.

  • Replacement elements matched to your make and model.
  • Built to the correct wattage, voltage, and dimensions.
  • Shipped across Canada with fast turnaround.
  • Custom builds available for discontinued equipment.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know my kiln elements need replacing?

Slow firings, failure to reach temperature, dull or uneven sections in the coil, visible breaks or sagging, and pitting or flaking on the element wire all point to worn elements. If firings keep getting longer, the elements are likely near the end of their life.

What do you need to match my kiln elements?

Your kiln's make, model, and serial number, plus the voltage and phase (most studio kilns are 240V single-phase). A photo of the old element and the kiln's data plate lets us confirm the exact wattage, resistance, and dimensions.

Can you make elements for a discontinued kiln?

Usually, yes. Because we wind elements to spec, we can build a match from the old element's measurements or the kiln's electrical ratings even when the manufacturer no longer lists your model.

Should I replace all the elements at once?

If the elements are the same age and one has failed, many potters replace the full set. New and aged elements have different resistance, which can cause uneven heating when they're mixed.
