Water Heater Elements

Screw-in and bolt-in replacement elements for electric water heaters, matched to your tank's brand and wattage.

A water heater's heating element is a sealed, waterproof unit — a different design from the open-coil elements we wind for kilns and HVAC systems, so it's supplied through a trusted manufacturing partner instead of our own coil-winding shop. We match replacement water heater elements to your tank's brand, wattage, voltage, and thread or flange pattern, and ship across Canada.

  • Replacement elements matched to your make and model.
  • Built to the correct wattage, voltage, and dimensions.
  • Shipped across Canada with fast turnaround.
  • Sourced through a trusted manufacturing partner.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a screw-in and bolt-in element?

A screw-in element threads directly into the tank — the most common style on residential water heaters. A bolt-in (flange) element bolts onto a flange with a gasket, common on some commercial and older tanks. Tell us which style your tank uses, or send a photo.

How do I know my water heater element has failed?

No hot water at all usually points to the upper element; hot water that runs out quickly points to the lower element. A tripped breaker, or a multimeter reading of zero or infinite resistance across the element's terminals, confirms it.

What do you need to match my water heater element?

The tank's brand and model number from the data plate, the wattage and voltage stamped on the old element, and whether it's screw-in or bolt-in. A photo of the old element and the data plate is the fastest way to confirm.

Can I use a different brand's element in my tank?

Often yes — many tanks use industry-standard thread and flange patterns, so a compatible wattage and voltage from another brand can fit. We confirm compatibility before you order rather than guess.
